Intellectual Hubs Help MHC Students Reach for the Stars
Ask
the directors of Mount Holyoke’s three intellectual centers
about their work and each will describe a rich, interdisciplinary
web of connections within the College and also with the surrounding
community and the world at large. The Center for the Environment,
the Center for Global Initiatives, and the Harriet L. and Paul
M. Weissman Center for Leadership and the Liberal Arts encourage
students and faculty to engage in artistic, scientific, and
political explorations that transcend familiar boundaries.
With programs ranging from the Center for Global Initiatives’ Fellow-in-Residence
to the Weissman Center’s Community-Based Learning, the
hubs promote the College’s longstanding commitment to
link academic excellence with purposeful engagement in the
world. Read
