Holyoke's Strategic Plan Yields Success
In 1997, Mount Holyoke adopted The Plan for Mount Holyoke 2003,
a six-year strategic plan that set ambitious goals in far-reaching
areas. This year marks the final year of the Plan, and students,
faculty, staff, and alumnae are reaping bountiful benefits—among
them new centers for leadership and environmental literacy; enhanced
art, music, and science facilities; a kosher/halal dining hall;
intensified linkages with the other members of the Five College
consortium; an innovative program in speaking, arguing, and writing;
winning athletic teams; and expanded opportunities to use technology
in creative ways. Ripe with the success of this plan, the College
is already setting goals for the next, which will extend into
2010.
